GUANGZHOU, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- In Dongguan's manufacturing transformation and upgrading landscape, a village collective-led "industrial-to-industrial" redevelopment benchmark project -- the Juzhou High-tech Industrial Center in Shijie Town -- is accelerating its implementation. As a core industrial revitalization carrier for a typical village cultivated under Guangdong Province's "Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-quality Development Project," the project is reshaping village-level industrial space through a "village collective-led plus central SOE construction" model, polishing Dongguan's golden signboard as a "renowned electronics village."

The project has a total land area of 19,600 square meters and a total floor area of about 60,000 square meters. It plans to build three high-standard production plants and 236 parking spaces, with functional zones for standardized production workshops, R&D rooms and warehousing and logistics, providing an intensive and efficient development carrier for enterprise production, R&D and turnover.

At the construction site, modern high-rise factory buildings are rising on formerly scattered and inefficient industrial land. On Nov. 4, with the completion of the last concrete pouring, the project's main structure was fully topped out, officially moving into the secondary structure, mechanical and electrical installation and decoration stages, and sprinting toward completion and operation.

In terms of operating model, the project is led by the Juzhou Village collective and jointly built with China Railway 25th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It seizes opportunities in Dongguan's AI server industry and relies on Shijie Town's deep foundation in the electronic information industry. After completion, it will focus on strengthening, extending and complementing the industrial chain, concentrate on intelligent equipment, intelligent manufacturing and high-end electronic manufacturing, and prioritize introducing supporting enterprises for precision components of AI servers. By linking with the town's existing electronics industry cluster, it will fill the gap in industrial space for small and medium-sized supporting enterprises in the AI hardware sector, with an estimated annual output value of 300 million yuan.

As a vivid practice in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area of using village collective land to advance "industrial-to-industrial" redevelopment and boost comprehensive rural revitalization, the Juzhou High-tech Industrial Center will expand industrial carrying space while further shoring up the shortcomings of village-level high-end manufacturing. It will achieve a transformation from "scattered factories" to an "industrial park" and from "low-efficiency leasing" to a "high-quality cluster," bring long-term and stable income to the village collective, and add new support for Dongguan's manufacturing transformation and upgrading and the high-quality development of the real economy.
